Cheap Doesn't Have to Mean Bad
A low price tells you about the platform's welcome offer and the reader's chosen rate — not about their skill. Many experienced readers keep low intro rates to attract new clients. What actually signals quality is a long history of recent, detailed reviews, a clear tarot specialty and a reader who answers your question instead of pushing upsells.
What to avoid is not cheap readers but scammers: anyone who claims you're cursed, sells 'spell removal' or asks you to pay outside the platform. Read our tarot scam red flags before you book.
Free Tarot, the Pick-a-Pile Way
Pick-a-pile (or pick-a-card) readings became popular on YouTube and TikTok: the reader prepares three piles, you choose the one you feel drawn to, and everyone who picks it gets the same written reading. They're free, quick and surprisingly reflective. Try topics like love, career, money or what are they thinking.
FAQ
What is the cheapest way to get a tarot reading online?
Use a new-customer offer. PsychicBook gives 10 free minutes plus 50% off the rest of the first session, Keen gives 5 minutes for $1 and Kasamba gives 3 free minutes plus 50% off.
How much does a tarot reading cost per minute?
Typically $1–$5 per minute online; highly rated readers can charge $10 or more.
Are free pick-a-pile readings accurate?
They're general readings shared by everyone who picks the pile — great for reflection, not a substitute for a personal reading.
Is a cheap tarot reading worse than an expensive one?
