Money Pick-a-Pile
What's happening with my finances?
How to Choose Your Pile
Look at the three piles without overthinking. Notice which one your eyes return to, which number feels right, or which pile seems slightly warmer. That's your pile. If none stands out, choose the one you'd least like to read — it often has the message you need.
All Three Readings
Pile 1 — Slow money, real money
Cards: Ace of Pentacles, Seven of Pentacles, Ten of Pentacles
This pile is about long-term growth. The Ace of Pentacles is a seed: a new income source, savings habit or opportunity. The Seven of Pentacles asks for patience — results won't be instant. The Ten of Pentacles shows lasting security if you stick with it. You're building something that pays off for years, not weeks.
Advice: Automate one small, regular saving or investment — even a modest amount counts.
Pile 2 — Help is available
Cards: Five of Pentacles, Six of Pentacles, Page of Pentacles
Money may feel tight right now (Five of Pentacles), and you might be too proud to ask for help. The Six of Pentacles says support is available — a refund, a payment plan, a generous person or an overdue payment finally arriving. The Page of Pentacles suggests learning: budgeting, a new skill or better money information will change your situation.
Advice: Make the call or send the email you've been avoiding about money owed to you — or by you.
Pile 3 — Spend with intention
Cards: Knight of Wands, Four of Pentacles, Justice
There's a pull between impulsive spending (Knight of Wands) and anxious holding on (Four of Pentacles). Justice asks for a fair, balanced look at your numbers. When you see clearly where money goes, the stress drops. A contract, settlement or financial decision may also come up — read the fine print.
Advice: Track every expense for seven days — awareness alone will cut waste.
