Can a 5-Minute Reading Help?
A short reading won't cover your whole life, but it can answer one clear question well. Readers on these platforms are used to quick sessions: they'll usually pull one to three cards and get straight to the point.
The trick is preparation. Write your question down, give a sentence of context and skip the small talk. You can also share what you've already learned from a free pick-a-pile reading and ask the reader to go deeper.
Good Questions for a $1 Reading
- “What's the energy around my career over the next three months?”
- “What do I need to understand about this relationship?”
- “What's blocking me from moving forward with ____?”
- “What should I focus on this week?”

When $1 Isn't Enough
If your question is complicated — a big decision with lots of factors — a longer session at a discount may be better value than squeezing it into five minutes. PsychicBook's 10 free minutes plus half-price time, or Kasamba's 50% off up to $50, cost more in total but give the reader room to work. Compare lengths with the tarot cost calculator.
Avoid “$1 Readings” Outside Trusted Sites
Be careful with social-media accounts or websites promising $1 readings that then ask for more money to remove a curse or perform a ritual. Stick to platforms with reviews, support and secure payments. See tarot scam red flags.
